My life would be a lot more complicated without the assistance of my PA Georgina. My wife works as a teacher so she can not be with me during the day. The Multiple Sclerosis that I have will get worse as it is a progressive type thus furthering my need of a PA.

So where do I start? Where does it end? Well since 2005 OCIL has been improving my life to an enormous extent.

Conversation and company are very important to me since I had to give work up in 2004. Just having someone to sit and talk help make for a happier, healthier life.

The light housekeeping that Georgina eases the burden on my wife having to do the work when she comes home from work. It also helps do work that I normally used to do before my disability.

Georgina has often run errands such as picking up prescriptions, going to the post office, etc when I have not been feeling well and not up to going out.

I gave up driving in 2003. I could never get used to an adapted or automatic car. The result of this is in need Georgina on a daily basis for incidental transportation. Trips to doctor appointments, supermarkets, my 90 year old mother, etc wherever I want to go. Without this possibility my life would be a lot less satisfying and harder to bear. It is the most important gift that OCIL has bestowed on me. Given me wheels!

All in all the service that OCIL has made my life more meaning full, independent and tolerable. It is a service not to be taken for granted. It should be widely appreciated. I cannot imagine or visualise a life without it now. Thanks to all concerned for their help and assistance.
